The ICCAT Record of Vessels comprises the following Records as established by ICCAT Recommendations:
ICCAT Record of Vessels 20m or greater, established by the Recommendation by ICCAT amending Recommendation 13-13 concerning the establishment of an ICCAT record of vessels 20 metres in length overall or greater authorized to operate in the Convention area [Rec. 21-14] Vessels 20 m or greater not entered on this Record are deemed not to be authorized to fish for tuna or tuna-like species in the ICCAT Convention area. Specific authorisations for Atlantic swordfish and albacore are required under Recs. 22-04; 24-10; 21-04 and 22-06.
ICCAT Record of TROP vessels, established under Recommendation by ICCAT replacing Recommendation 22-01 on a multi-annual conservation and management programme for tropical tunas [Rec. 24-01] contains fishing vessels authorised to fish for bigeye and yellowfin tuna in the ICCAT Convention area.
ICCAT Record of Carrier Vessels, established under the Recommendation by ICCAT amending Recommendation 21-15 on transhipment [Rec. 24-15] , contains vessels authorized to receive transhipments of tuna and tuna-like species in the ICCAT Convention area from large-scale tuna longline vessels.
ICCAT Record of SWO-MED Vessels, established under Recommendation by ICCAT replacing the Recommendation [13-04] and Establishing a Multi-Annual Recovery Plan for Mediterranean Swordfish [Rec. 16-05], contains fishing vessels authorised to catch swordfish in the Mediterranean Sea.
ICCAT Record of ALB-MED Vessels, established under Recommendation by ICCAT to amend the ICCAT Recommendation 22-05 to establish a rebuilding plan for Mediterranean albacore [Rec. 24-08], contains fishing vessels authorized to fish actively for Mediterranean albacore tuna (Thunnus alalunga).
ICCAT Record of BFT Catching Vessels, established under the Recommendation by ICCAT replacing Recommendation 24-05 establishing a multi-annual management plan for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean [Rec. 25-04] contains vessels authorized to fish actively for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea.
ICCAT Record of BFT Other Vessels, established under Recommendation by ICCAT replacing Recommendation 24-05 establishing a multi-annual management plan for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterraneann [Rec. 25-04] contains all other fishing vessels (i.e. catching vessels excluded) authorized to operate for bluefin tuna in the eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea.
List of Chartered vessels, as reported under Recommendation by ICCAT on Vessel Chartering [Rec. 13-14], shows the current arrangements and chartering duration.
The List of vessels authorised to use traplines 1, communicated in accordance with Recommendation by ICCAT on the experimental use of traplines (Rec. 25-09)

- “(blank)” is a standard placeholder used in various fields of the ICCAT Record to indicate that "No information is available" (various reasons: non-existent, not reported, not submitted for confidentiality reasons, etc.).
