ACUERDO ENTRE ICCAT Y LA REVISTA AQUATIC LIVING RESOURCES SOBRE PUBLICACIONES
En 2007 ICCAT alcanzó un acuerdo con la revista científica Aquatic Living Resources (ALR) por el que se establecía una sección fija en la revista, en sus ediciones impresa y electrónica, dedicada a documentos sobre túnidos, especies afines y otras especies de interés en el ámbito de ICCAT. Con este acuerdo se pretendía ampliar el impacto de los documentos científicos que se presentan al SCRS dentro de la comunidad científica.
El primer número conjunto se publicó en 2008 e incluía documentos presentados al SCRS en 2007.
El procedimiento establecido para la inclusión de documentos en ALR incluye un proceso de preselección por parte de un Comité Editorial, creado dentro del SCRS, y/o los relatores de los grupos de especies. Igualmente, los autores pueden proponer la inclusión de documentos en este proceso de preselección. Posteriormente, los documentos preseleccionados son enviados a ALR para someterse al proceso de revisión por pares de la revista.
El acceso completo a los documentos publicados en la revista está restringido a los subscriptores, durante los dos primeros años, a partir de ese período el acceso a la edición electrónica es libre.
